So electric company's contractor has just knocked on my door to tell me about some work starting next door. They are having an electric car charger installed and the survey has discovered that our electric supply comes off theirs under their driveway. Apparently this is quite common.
The electric company are separating the supplies and are digging up neighbours drive to do this. We will get a separate feed from the mains but connection will still be under neighbours drive ,I assume so they don't also have to dig up our drive.
They caught me unawares and mid meeting so I didn't question it. Should I be concerned and insist the connection is on my property (and would I have to pay?) or is this okay?
They did say they would be writing to me so I will have chance to question, but thought I'd see if anyone had been through anything similar.
