Idea to cover mucky area in garden?

Just looking for some budget friendly ideas to cover a messy area in garden. Our garden is fully paved, we removed a shed but the space underneath is not flagged. It would be easy to lay flag stones on this space to cover it but the existing paving is coloured and we can't find the same tiles anywhere!
Has anyone any ideas of suggestions to cover the area? It's quite small (2m square). We tried gravel but the dog keeps digging in the stones Confused any suggestions?

Plant some things? Make a raised bed. If it’s shady put ferns, hostas etc in. If it’s sunny put herbs in it. Or an easy shrub like choisya.

I would also make a large slightly raised bed area and plant it up.

Yep, plant it up. Any other option will look odd as you will have two types of hard surface.

Good idea for a raised bed. Something like this might work and help keep dog from digging in plants.
