Welwyn Garden City - any areas to avoid re: crime/safety?

Are there any areas of WGC where crime is relatively higher/lower?

There seem to be big discrepancies in house prices on the West side of town as compared to the East.

Also keen to hear about Lemsford/Stanborough Lake area from a safety point of view. Thanks

West Side is the more desirable side and close to town / station. Lemsford seems lovely and quaint the many times I have been through.

I think Panshanger is less desirable but I am not sure if that’s due to crime or the fact its more far out. I am not sure if there is any unsafe areas (I live 10 mins drive away) but there are lots of ex council houses round Knightsfield. I actually live in an ex Council house and its the safest place.

It depends on your budget, I suppose. I would love to live in West Side but my children go to Secondary a bit of a trek away.
