Paging @PigletJohn - shower issues

I've just had a new shower installed, I've attached a pic of an identical one from the internet. When I turn the handle (marked red) for the handset diverter, the main shower head doesn't stop. Is this how it's supposed to be, that the handset is supplimental to the main shower but cannot be used alone? Also, if I turn the handset diverter handle all the way it shuts off all the water for both the main head & the handset. I thought the main on & off was on the valve itself and you'd just use the handset diverter to alternate between the handheld or the main shower.

I don't know. What do the instructions say?

janepeach · 29/05/2022 08:43

It didn't come with instructions.

I just found the instructions online, they make no mention of flow directions or final functioning.

You’re a saint Piglet.

Please post a link to the instructions and I will see if I can puzzle it out.

I have a similar shower and can use each shower head separately.

What does the white lever below the one you have circled in red do? Could that be the diverter?

thegcatsmother · 01/06/2022 19:20

The one below the lever circled in red will be the on/off lever.
