What to do about this mess on front of house

We recently moved house and had fibre broadband installed. When we moved in there was a small box with cables (internet?) at the front, which had the lid missing. The new box installed by Openreach (grey box in pic) is positioned much higher than I would have liked, adjacent to the window, but apparently lower down wasn't an option as it could have interfered with the gas meter.

Is there some kind of cover I can get to conceal all the cables and boxes? My house fronts right onto the pavement so no option to put a plant in front or anything else that could be classed as an obstruction. I don't know whether I can remove the bottom box/cables completely, but don't really fancy trying. DH and I are both hopeless with DIY so would ideally like an easy to install ready-made cover of some sort.

That does look a state! I think you'd have to get a carpenter to build something bespoke, but that would be overhanging the pavement and probably not allowed either.

I would build a slatted, hinged, flat cabinet which could be easily open.
If it's in the front of your house, could you put your house numbers on the box?

Would an outside post box or parcel boxcar with the back plate removed, slot over the top?

Check whether that box needs ventilation and design box as appropriate.
