Changing the style of uPVC glass only?

The house I am buying has diamond- shaped faux leading. It’s the only one on the street with it, it’s only at the front of the house and it’s not in keeping with the era so god knows why it was fitted, but here we are.

Anyway, the state of the frames etc seems fine so is it possible to change the glass only? Can the fitting piece with the glass attached be changed without changing the whole frame? I hope that makes sense!

Yes you can do this & it's easy. The fitter just pops out the internal beads & slots the new glass in. We had it done & it's massively cheaper than new windows.

Oh wow, that is exactly the answer I was looking for! Thank you so much! 😋

Yes, definitely. We've just had a quote for doing that (for the same reason, I hate the leading!). We're going a bit more expensive and getting solar glass in at the same time.

This is brilliant news 🥹 Is it awfully expensive? Ballpark forgive, if that’s not too nosy
