I’d like to get nice sockets in our refurb - does anyone know a good supplier? I’ve tried to attach a pic of the kind of one I’d like.

Soho Lighting but MK sockets are cheaper.

Phrenologistsfinger · 18/05/2022 20:20

Corston

macshoto · 18/05/2022 20:57

Hamilton probably do something of that style. Tend to be quite pricey though.

I think Varilight are good

I use www.tlc-direct.co.uk/

MrsMigginsCat · 19/05/2022 05:24

Screwfix do ones like this. Or, surprisingly, Aldi have them on occasion. Might still have them online

BigSkies2022 · 19/05/2022 08:44

Elesa. TLC (horrible website, great staff). Forbes and Lomax. B&Q do an increasingly good range, but if you want a very flat finish, it seems you need to spend a bit more.

LynneBenfield · 19/05/2022 08:46

Jim Lawrence do really nice ones but you will spend a lot if you have a lot to buy.

bestbefore · 19/05/2022 08:50

Hamilton for sure. Every possible combo/ style

SollaSollew · 19/05/2022 17:29

Hi @meloncolic We've got Dowsing and Reynolds ones that are just like those.

QuantumWeatherButterfly · 20/05/2022 11:13

We got all ours for our downstairs refurb from TLC. Great quality, very well priced. Ours were also brushed brass and black. We'll be using them again when we start on the upstairs.

I wanted Corston but purchased Hamilton. Needed lots and spent quite a bit.

Sleeptillnoon · 21/05/2022 14:08

We got our absolutely lovely screwless sockets from Toolstation, of all places. Would definitely recommend.
This is them: www.toolstation.com/search?q=black%20nickel%20screwless%20socket

lop32 · 21/05/2022 14:59

I have Hamilton. They have lots of different options such as screw-less and USB ports.

meloncolic · 31/05/2022 14:43

Oh my gosh, sorry I just came back to this after drooling over the soho lights one (not literally, obviously, safety first) but these are all so useful thank you!

if selling the family to afford the soho lights one does not pan out, at least I now have some options!

Anyone know who does clear switches?

HelenHywater · 31/05/2022 15:23

I've just bought some Dowsing and Reynolds switches which are a thing of beauty

will have to go cheaper for my sockets and am going to get Elesi ones I think.

Ribb · 02/06/2022 10:17

@locok
Both Hamilton and Corston. I have the Hamilton clear ones.

locak · 02/06/2022 13:55

thanks @Ribb

locak · 02/06/2022 13:57

@Ribb Can I ask what colour sockets you have gone for with the clear switches?

Ribb · 02/06/2022 19:45

@locak still a work in progress but matt black mostly as our woodwork through most of the house is F&B Railings. In the dining area the colour is Hague Blue but the sockets are covered by a sofa, armchair and dining table so you can't really see them. Have still gone matt black.
What are you contemplating?

Buster and Punch have fab ranges and great customer service.

DaimDillyDoo · 02/06/2022 19:59

Do not use Dowsey & Reynolds! We ordered from them for our whole house, plates were falling off and wouldn't sit straight, lights were flickering - 3 separate electricians advised us to complain!
