Hello; we are planning to do our extension next year and I’m wondering whether prices are likely to be lower then given the cost of living crisis.

Do share your theories and insights.

Following but I don’t think anyone has a crystal ball here…..

I would say not. the cost materials ie wood, insulation has gone through the roof. And there seems no let up to how busy builder, electricians, plumbers are.

Also waiting for Mystic Meg to come along and answer this. The cost of living crisis might push down demand for domestic building work, forcing builders to charge less. However material costs will still be increasing along with inflation.
We're being brave going ahead with our extension now 😬
