Noisy inconsiderate Neighbours- anyone else have them?

I have neighbours that i can't seem to get away from, they shout and scream at each other, they have 4 kids who are out of control.
They have a goalnet/ hot tub in the garden, my fence is constantly getting hit with footballs, i have about 4-5 balls in my garden daily.
Front of the house they take over, park where they want.
Side of the house they leave a side door open all the time.
Garden area is noise at all times.
They play music very loud as well.
I just want to sit in my garden and relax.

Yes I did but thankfully they moved now but had a family of 5 living above me in a one bed flat, they lived there for 3 years and it was awful, laminate flooring throughout, and would let the kids ride up and down on scooters or toy cars who knows but it was back and fourth all day, The noise was just horrendous with so many people in such a small place, I celebrated the day they moved out!

Yes, but not as bad as yours. Mine have yappy dogs who are shut out in the garden all day. They bark pretty regularly throughout the day, and also bark at us every time we go in our garden. It's rubbish.

I moved last year and my old neighbours were the noisiest family I've ever known. EVERYTHING was loud. The woman's boombox voice was horrific, kids always crying & shouting at each other (kids around 8 & 12) then she'd shout at them for shouting at each other. Sex was a screaming affair, kids footballs against my fence, basketball net right next to my patio when they had 150ft of garden to plant on. Then covid hit & she moved her Bangra classes that she taught to online which she recorded in her conservatory - at gone 10pm at night. Thank god they didn't have a dog because I'd guarantee that'd be a noisy fucker too.

Yes, we do. We live in and end terrace and have been here for less than a year. Our new neighbour moved in a couple of months back and is a nightmare. We have too many dogs on this street anyway and he has made the problem worse with its constant barking along with the ones his other side. He has the telly on really loud and often leaves the radio on all day, presumably to keep his dog company, but it just means we get noise from both.

DH has spoken to both neighbours. Apparently the dog "has anxiety" and he can't do anything about it.

We are looking around another house tomorrow. I'm devastated, we have moved twice in the last 2 years and I love our current house and garden, apart from the noise. I'm not sure what the answer is if they won't stop. Complaining officially makes is more difficult to sell.

OUB1974 I remember you from other threads as,we're dealing with something similar.

We've spoken to our neighbours about it twice now, and what tends to happen is it gets better for a few weeks and then they decide they've 'fixed' it and go back to keeping the dogs outside all day.

A couple of weeks ago when I was absolutely desperate, I decided to try and 'make friends' with the dogs by feeding them lots of leftover fatty pork belly last thing in the evening. Wouldn't have harmed the dogs, but I like to think the neighbours had an interesting night Grin

Forget changing the batteries in the birds. Lockdown was when they secretly replaced all the neighbours with arseholes.

Oh God yes. We live by the local parish councillor who has noisy building work starting at 6 am and then denies it when she is investigated. They also run a business and store flammables. Denied it again until it went up in flames taking other neighbours property out completely. Still not repaired 9 months later and they scream at anyone attempting a fix. Just why. Yet they complain about everyone else from parking in the street (legal) to trees losing their leaves.

Our older neighbour power washes continually. As soon as there is a nice sunny day, yes, she is out there all day long. This week it has been four times already. She even blocks her own drains and has to get people out. Again, just why? We have learned to zone it out but I have considered giving her a colonic irrigation with the bloody thing.

stuff like this makes me never want to move! we have very quiet old neighbours both sides of our terrace, so lucky in hindsight - can't say we checked before we moved in. that said there are a couple of people on our road who play super loud music every now and then on the weekend but I guess a few nights a year is just how it is living in a city!

I did and I moved but not before it did a number on my health. I wished I had gone absolutely mad at the neighbors before I did because I think they thought my complaining was my problem.

I wish them nothing but ill.

Been unlucky in the past to the extent that I'm now extremely sensitive to it and will go and introduce myself to neighbours before moving into a new place to get a feel for them. It's probably annoying but I have to protect my mental health!

This is one of the problems...the dog next door has been barking for an hour and a half...it's shut up now but I'm so on edge waiting for it to start again. It really can make you ill.

browneyes77 · 17/05/2022 17:57

Yep. My current downstairs neighbour has been a nightmare. Loud music and heavy bass, shouting, slamming doors etc.

Just before Xmas she threatened to stab me, sent me 40 abusive text messages in the space of 30 minutes and then spent 2 hours screaming abuse and threats to the entire block - all because, after she’d rocked up at 4am shouting at the top of her voice and waking me and everyone else up, I had very politely and nicely asked her, if she’d mind keeping her voice down a little.

Police were called. Recordings sent to housing association. She’s been issued with a possession order and we’re awaiting her eviction.

May throw a party with my neighbours when she finally gets chucked out 😂🙌🏼🍾🥳
