Saniflow sink draining slowly

Sorry, very dull, but just looking for advice that might help me avoid the costs of the plumber.
We had a new Saniflo installed that drains the shower and the sink. It's been in place about a year. The shower drain works perfectly, never clogged, not slow. The sink is slow and quite smelly.

I've tried using the descaler cleaner recommended - wickedly expensive, and appears not to help. I've tried used bicarbonate of soda and citric acid blended with hot water to make a 'bomb' but not effective. Don't dare use anything more brutal in case I wreck the Saniflo seal-thingy.

I've tried taking the u-bend bit under the sink outflow off and clearing the plug and pipes manually as far as I can reach. A satisfying amount of gunk came out but the effect hasn't been lasting and it's still slow and smelly. I've tried 'pumping' through the plug hole with a plunger, but the plug is fixed (it's a Duravit sink with a pop-up button device to plug up the drain, and you can't remove the button) so there's a limit to how much welly I can give it. So if there's a blockage somewhere inaccessible in. one of the pipes, I can't whoosh it back up with vacuum suction. And I can't use strong drain cleaners to dissolve it, because Saniflo seal.

Any thoughts, anyone?
