Looking at houses with the same agent after pulling out of a purchase?

We just found out there's likely to be a 6 month delay with the house that we are buying due to problems further up the chain. Its already 4 months since making the offer so we were impatient already. We were starting to have doubts anyway based on lack of onstreet parking and some potential issues that the survey has thrown up. We are thinking of cutting our losses and starting the search again. Will we have problems if we look at houses with the same agent (being seen as an unreliable buyer)? Unfortunately the agent is the biggest in town and has all the porperties we would currently be interested in viewing.

Not a problem at all. They won’t be happy about the delay in getting their commission from the other sale either.

I’ve done just this not that long ago. Thought the EAs would be really annoyed; they weren’t!

We’ve done this twice, I’m sorry to say, and it wasn’t a problem either time so long as you explain your reasons and they aren’t frivolous ones.

Not at all. They are just thinking of the commission.
