Can you start a rental search less than a month before?

So my ds is planning to move to London. He won't hear back if he got the job he has applied for until a few weeks before it starts. This means he could technically be left with less than a month before move in day to find somewhere.

Would this be ok?

Yes of course. You need to give a month’s notice if leaving a rented property, but there are no rules about when to start looking.

Yes, absolutely fine. In my experience, many rentals are available immediately so if he's searching close to his move date he'll have more choice (but also more stress!).

It'll be OK but he will need to make sure all his references are ready to roll ASAP for the referencing agency to clear them. My employer one held us up for 3 weeks which was beyond stressful!

No point in looking too far in advance IME. Have a look now to get an idea of what the lead time on most is though?
