Kitchen advice please

I moved into this house two years ago. Lots to do in it. The kitchen needs a complete redo, but currently there are other jobs that need doing and as kitchen will be a big spend it’s not doable just now.

But I’m debating giving it a facelift.

The floor tiles are brown, textured and never look properly clean because they are so dull. Not practical to lay vinyl flooring over them due to being textured but would tile paint last?

Thinking of new worktop and installing some new cupboards, just some off the shelf from B&Q/Wickes. I’ve a big pantry so there’s only 2 tiny wall cupboards plus under sink so it won’t be a massive spend.

Is it worth this so you think please?

Sounds like it's about quality of life. If you can do it cheaply, why not? Though paint on a tiled floor sounds like a recipe for chipping.

Thanks @FabulousFlowerpots. That’s what I’m concerned about re the floor paint but I guess it’s better than how it is now?
Could maybe get a rug so the main walkways are covered to protect the paint.
