We’re mid renovation. Having old white upvc windows replaced with new upvc flush windows in white wood grain finish.
Stumbling block seems to be the French doors. I had expected to be able to get a nicer upvc replacement but the only upvc ones on offer had very thick frames, not the flush sash style and no wood grain finish. Apparently they don’t exist as a narrower frame as the plastic isn’t strong enough.
Wondering whether to go for white painted timber, white aluminium, or a dark aluminium as a complete contrast. The gap is too narrow for sliders or bifolds.
If you had this choice to make, what did you go for and are you happy with what you decided?! Thanks in advance
