Considering pulling out and another property on with the same agent

We think we may have to pull out from our purchase as there are several areas of concern but are waiting on the results of further surveys before deciding as we do love the house.

Im reluctant to keep all my eggs in one basket. I have seen another house I love the look of but it is on with the same agent as the property we are in the process of purchasing.

How do we navigate this? We really want to view the new house.

I would maybe call the agent and be really honest about the situation and see what they say?

They may not be happy because you’re meant to be committed to the other house but at the end of the day they will want to see the other one too.

How quickly do you think the house you want to see will sell?

I once did that with same agent. They let me view another property but would not let me offer unless I pulled out of the previous house.

I think it will sell imminently. The housing market is crazy. May have already missed the boat but I could initially ask whether there are any viewing slots left?

Definitely speak to them - it sounds like you can’t wait for the survey results on the other house so maybe explain and see what they say.

What @Iamtired2022 says happened in the same circumstances sounds reasonable.

Speak to the agent. If they sell either house they get paid.

I’d be honest and speak to the agents.

We have just pulled out of a house purchase with one agents and was so worried the EA wouldn’t let us see any other properties through them. I told them this and they thought it was really funny. We’re not blacklisted. They said it happens all the time and they’d never sell any properties if they barred everyone who pulls out of a sale.
