Has anyone tried to lay their own flooring on a tight budget, or had it laid professionally? What type of flooring is it and how was it to install yourself?
Our kitchen is a long and narrow 16sq m approx and the existing flooring (sheets of interlocking flooring of some sort, poorly installed) has started deteriorating badly in the past 6 months. It has been laid on top of what looks like lino.
We are looking to replace it but on a very tight budget and I don’t really mind what the flooring is as long as it is hard-wearing (kitchen will be renovated in a couple of years so it’s a stop-gap until then). I’m happy to give it a go installing by myself (DH useless with diy).
