Heat pumps and traditional radiators

Am currently installing new radiators and am typing to decide btwn ‘type 22’ standard radiators from Screwfix or traditional cast iron rads. Prefer traditional radiators. But am thinking ahead for the heat pump era and websites say oversize and get type 22. So, does anyone know if traditional rads will be okay? Can anyone confirm if they have a heat pump working with traditional radiators? Many thanks

No direct experience, but I wouldn't. Heat pumps are more efficient at lower temperatures, which means you need bigger radiators or underfloor heating. You can run a heat pump hotter, but it will cost you much more.

Standard radiators are no good with a heat pump. We have Mitsubishi Electric heat pump radiators until we upgrade to underfloor heating next month.
