What to do with this wall?!

I really need to tidy up our front garden wall. I'm really tempted to just freshen it up with some white paint. However not sure if it's too patchy to really work. I have a toddler at home so don't have loads of free time! Any advice on what to do (bar knocking it down!) would be gratefully received!

I'd give it a good sand down to remove the main flaky bits. Give it a good brush and wash to remove the dust. Give it a coat of Everbuild stabilising solution to seal it, then paint with a decent masonry primer/undercoat and paint. It will look much better I'm sure.
