Recommendations for conveyancing solicitor

Having to find a new solicitor halfway through our purchase because the previous one suddenly announced she didn't do help to buy ISAs.

This was the second time we have had a nightmare experience with a solicitor that we chose based on personal recommendation. So we have to assume our friends have terrible taste in solicitors and instead will turn to a bunch of internet strangers to help us out.

Any recommendations? We're buying in SE London but of course that doesn't really matter. We just want someone quick and efficient who is not going to forget about any important documents for three months, or suddenly land us with any surprise 'I can't do that's.

Burtons solicitors. I haven’t completed yet but they were recommended to me by several people & I cannot fault them at all. Really quick responses, very transparent & have taken time to go through everything with me.

We used Bishopsgate Law. We completed in January. They're based in Potters Bar but everything was online and electronic and they were fantastic. Completely on the ball and instantaneous communication.
Our solicitor was Ruby Collier.

Smart legal near Liverpool St are amazing. So quick.

Amphlett Lissimore took over my conferencing mid purchase and were great, both in keeping things moving forward and also shockingly at communicating with me! They are SEv London based too.

Streathers in Clapham were excellent - Ben or Dawn.

We have recently used Meaby & Co based in Camberwell and they were good

Twm solicitors (they have a few branches incl. Mayfair, Reigate, Wimbledon (I think)) are superb. Have used them for a number of things including two house purchases (one very recently).
