Grant probate property purchase timeline?

I've made a offer on granted probate property and it has been accepted. Currently property is vacant. My agent is saying, seem probate is already granted and vacant things will go faster. Any idea what's sort of timeline will take to complete the process?

i guess my solicitor will do due-diligence on seller paperwork, Anything i need to check or ask to buyers or agent to expedite the timeline manner?

If probate has already been granted, there's no reason why it should take any longer than any other purchase. It's waiting for the grant which can be the really slow part of the probate process. Good luck.

Also if some distant relative pops up and puts a caveat on the probate property while trying to get a stake, they can blocking the probate and therefore sale for months if not yr+ (has just happened further up my chain and now my purchase is falling through due to the uncertainty 😭). So it’s not a risk free transaction.

If probates been granted then as said above it's good to go and won't cause extra delay

We've just completed on a probate property today. Just us & the seller in the chain, it's been 7.5 weeks from offer accepted to getting the keys so pretty pleased with that!

It's quite possible that the seller will answer "not known" to many of the questions on the sellers form, so be prepared for that.
