Different coloured kitchen doors from carcasses?

Moved into a house with a cream slightly glossy kitchen. We are removing an appliance and adding a different smaller one so need new doors but won’t get matching ones. It’ll be difficult to match the carcass colour so was considering a totally different colour. Has anyone done this? What colour would you suggest?
Can’t afford to change the kitchen right now but could stretch to new worktops too.

That is exactly my plan I’m gonna go for coloured ones for the base units and then I’m gonna have like a woodgrain effect for the wall units I just think otherwise it looks a bit cheap and nasty in my kitchen anyway if it’s all a big blank bank of units in the same cream gloss.
