Composite Doors - Q about door furniture

I have a beautiful brass knocker I'd like to mount on a new composite door but the companies I've been too so far said they could only add their own furniture as anything else will invalidate the 10 year guarantee. I'd also like to add my own letterbox.

Has anybody done this? Did you just change the one they gave or did you find a company that would do it for you?

Sunday evening bump?

I'm thinking I may just go for it and not worry about the 10 year guarantee that I doubt would be honoured anyway...

I would just change them…. Both are lovely by the way!

@ValBiro love them , keep your own Smile

The knocker will be fine but if it's a foam filled composite door you'll need a sleeved letterplate to stop it taking in water.

Thanks @guinnessandblackcurrant that is a good insight! Glad to hear the knocker would be ok though.
