After searching for months and starting to panic we got an offer accepted on a house we offered on (4th one and my hopes were waning).

We've not bought traditionally before so what happens next? I've told my estate agents as they had to confirm the chain for the people we are buying from.

Should the vendors estate agent send me some official confirmation in terms of an written email? They called me over the phone and told me yesterday but nothing since and I obviously want to tell my buyers so they can breathe and relax a bit. I know I have to contact my solicitors as well to let them know too.

So I guess my questions are

a) do I chase for some official comms and ask them to take the listing offline or mark it as under offer or STC? (Its been near 24 hours since they called us to say its been accepted).

b) At what point do we ask whats included as I need to do our fixtures and fittings form for our buyers but some bits will depend on this purchase.

c) Anything else I should be doing besides doing the full mortgage application (have AIP)

Thanks Mumsnetters!

Congratulations!

The agent will send a memorandum of sale when the chain is complete - do you know if it is?

Next thing is to instruct a solicitor who will start searches etc and paperwork once they have a copy of the MOS. This will include the fixtures and fittings form etc.

@Fancypants2022 thanks! Should I call them up and ask for this? I am about to let my solicitor know we've found a property but not sure if I should wait for an official email or something from the EA as like I said it was only confirmed to us over the phone yesterday morning so dont want to be annoying but just so afraid of being gazumped or something as we were told we werent the highest offer but it was that our chain was good (our buyers are FTB and need to move ASAP)

Thanks

In my experience it is not unusual for the MOS to take a few days - I would contact the agent and give your solicitor details so they can put all the info on the MOS.
Perhaps do it by email so you have a trail if you are worried. Rightmove can take a day or so to update too. Exciting!!
