Refreshing wooden kitchen

We had a lovely handmade solid wood kitchen installed about 15 years ago.
It is still really solid and there’s nothing I particularly would change function wise, but it’s looking really tired. The wood has marks and looks dull .
Is there a service to sort of deep clean, re polish the wood , can’t see anything on line , wondered if anyone had had it done.
Otherwise it could I suppose be painted, anyone had that done ? Wouldn’t be doing it myself a worried would just ruin the kitchen !

Give it a good clean with sugar soap. Don’t paint it, unless it’s pine.

Thanks, it’s maple I think
Probably bit beyond sugar soap, they just look dry after being cleaned and there are some marks on wood where I have over enthusiasticly tried to clean them in the past !

I have a small oak side table which always looked as though it needed polishing, no matter how often I put beeswax polish on. I found something called Balds wood balm which has made a huge difference.

Ask a carpenter OP. Sounds like it needs a light sand and varnish. For the right price any carpenter can do that for you.

On Filthy House SOS they cleaned wood with a mix of white vinegar and olive oil. Came up lovely.
