Let me tell you what I've learnt about kitchen taps...

A shitey cheap job from the value range at the plumbers merchant can last you 20years with no issue (it did in our case), but the posh £££ new one with ceramic cartridges will fail within a couple of years....

We have a dripping tap at the moment. Got cartridges and was only put in a couple of years ago. I tried to take the taps apart to find the cartridge and can't get them off.
That means new taps required. FFS.

(Warning.....even if you can get to the cartridge it can be hard to buy the right one to go inside.....)
