Internal cameras

Hi
Forgive me for the stupid question but how do internal cameras work? Cos they can work motion activated like outside ones surely cos you'd always be triggering them
So are they filming continuously and if you want to look back at a certain time you type that time in or something?
Where are the videos stored?

Mine only store footage if you have an SD card in them and I don't.

Ok

Which ones have you got?
How do they work? I mean cos they can't be motion activated surely cos you're always inside, they'd always be pinging notifications?

I have Tapo cameras inside and out. On the outdoor ones I have them set so they alarm if someone approaches the car or the oil tank. On the indoor cameras I set them to ping if I am leaving the house but when we are home I turn notifications off.

Oh I was thinking of internal ones all the time and wanted to find out how they work

I can view footage on the indoor ones as it happens but mine don't record as I have no SD card in them, I have an app on my phone that links into the cameras so I can drop in on them anywhere I have wifi connection. The outdoor ones do have an SD card which stores the footage, once the card is full it overwrites itself, I can save recorded footage if I need to.

If you use a Nest or similar wifi system, it uses your mobile phone to judge when you’re home. If you’re home, then it doesn’t record footage. You can override this (eg overnight) if you want.

Videos are stored in the cloud.
