How to reach a landlord when tenants won’t engage with us?

Hi

All we want to do is paint our side of a fence that belongs to our neighbours, which is a rental property. Technically we need their permission first and also we want to be courteous.

We’ve knocked on and posted a letter with our number, asking for permission, but they never answer the door nor respond.

How do we track down the landlord? What would you do?

Thanks

The fence will belong to the owner of the house not the renters, I dont know what you can do except try and find out who owns it through land registry or ir go on rental sites to try and find out who the agent is.

Land Registry search will show the owner. It costs £3.
