Proof of ownership - land registry delays

I've recently bought a house I want to let out. It was bought outright, no mortgage.

The letting agency want proof of ownership before they will let it out - the delays at the land registry mean it could be ages til it's showing correctly on their system. How can I prove that I own the property?

Did you get a letter from your solicitor confirming completion? I remember using this as proof with the council for school applications.

I actually went through this last week. Ask your solicitor for a copy of the signed transfer of title form and an extract of the Application Details (by making an application enquiry to the land registry) which will show that it has been lodged.
