I have a freestanding version, and honestly, I'm hoping it dies soon, so I can back to a bog standard condenser. It takes forever to dry. The other day, it took 6hrs to dry a load, not even a big load. There's definitely no way you can do an emergency dry.

Having a new kitchen and was having integrated appliances but more convinced than ever I'm having a normal tumble dryer thanks for the reply

Not integrated, but we have a Bosch serie 6 heat pump dryer and it is FABULOUS, I’m so pleased with it, uses minuscule amounts of power too.

I have a Beko heat pump dryer and it takes about 90 mins to dry a full load. 30 mins for a single item. They are great.

If your dryer is taking so long you might want to check the filters. Mine has a filter in the drum but then one on the condenser as well which it doesn't notify me about but does need emptying as well. I didn't empty the normal filter for about 4 cycles the other day and noticed the machine was running hot before I remembered to check the filter. It's not supposed to start if the filter is full but I'd overridden that accidentally by turning it off in between.

We have this Bosch one, its excellent. Not sure what @Hadjab is talking about, as it's very clever and dries really efficiently. If yours is taking that long to dry things you need to get it serviced.

@Cianreb1 Hoover, cheap and (not very) cheerful - avoid it like the plague

Caspianberg · 26/03/2022 18:10

Bosch series 8 here. It’s excellent. We have holiday rental laundry it copes with fine and quickly.

Not integrated, we have a Samsung heat pump tumble dryer. It's excellent and came with a 5 yr guarantee. Extremely energy efficient too.

Geneticsbunny · 26/03/2022 20:01

Beko have the best ratings on which. I haven't got one yet as I can't justify it until our normal dryer dies.

@Cianreb1 have you outed yourself Mrs Wedge? See your original post.

I have a Hoover one. I bought it a couple of years ago and I could only seem to find that and a candy one. Neither had great reviews but it's fine. It takes a little longer than my old condenser but I find that it may sometimes feel damp when it's still hot but if you take it out it is dry. The water container is in the door which is much better than my old condenser.

I think she means you possibly included your full real name in your first post?
Cianreb1 · 26/03/2022 22:26

We bought a terrible, but expensive Miele one. its takes flipping hours. Only rotates in one direction so everything gets knotted. Can only put in half a load at a time. Research carefully.

BertieBotts · 27/03/2022 12:22

You can post whatever you like, it's just whether you want people to know your real name!
