So far failed 2 purchases
1st the seller pull out at last stage.
2nd I walked away due to survey result.
Cost me 5k for above scenarios and 15 months...frustrated😓
How many purchase you have went through before secured a successful completion?

3 as all 3 had really bad surveys with numerous major faults, ended up getting new build for the warranty, but new builds are smaller:(

Oh 😣 definitely feel your pain! Just one bad building survey already traumatized me.
I was determined not to target new builds but now I'm not sure 😓😂

Still on purchase number 1 at the moment but it's not looking hopeful, with top of chain threatening to pull out. It is so stressful trying to buy a house, if this one falls through i'm not sure I can cope with trying again i'm already so stressed after 4 months of ups and downs :( Hopefully the next one is the lucky one for you OP!

Not to sound patronising but every house I’ve ever brought has had some bad stuff on the survey so make sure you’re not over reacting to that as a first time buyer.

I feel your pain though. We’ve just had our chain collapse for the second time. It’s painful and expensive.

Dovetail6 · 24/03/2022 21:30

We had four for this house. We ended up in the best house at the best price though. It might be worth sharing the survey here as sometimes the language used is scary but the problems can be sorted?

Swallow34 · 25/03/2022 10:25

Yes, after all the stress and still back to square 1, not sure how soon I'll be able to do this again🙈
If I were you,I'll check other properties, just to catch up current availability in case the worst scenario happen...it's not helping reduce the stress level though lol.

I give all my best wishes for you ! !!!!
