Hi all,

We're looking at the usual- made, swoon, snug, but I'm nervous because I can't obviously tell the quality and comfort.

Have you bought from these places? Im concerned about cushion backs and if there's a problem.

Also looking at sideboards and tv units. I think I've seen made has a store in London, but getting there is not so simple.

Any experiences?

We have multiple sofas from The Lounge Co, but we tested them out in a local dept store first. I'm not sure I could buy a sofa without having sat on it first.

We do have various items of furniture from Swoon - a chest coffee table, display cabinet, 3 side tables, 2 console tables & a coat stand. We've had the majority of items for around 6 years and I love them all. Solid wood, beautiful items

We nearly bought a sofa from made.com but I changed my mind when looking at the reviews. Some people had been waiting 9 months + for delivery which kept getting pushed back and back due to Brexit/covid/Suez canal blockage. We went with sofa.com in the end who were ace.

For sideboards and other furniture I'd recommend the service at Neptune, Garden Trading, Cotswold Co and Loaf.

Oh thanks for this so far.

I agree about made- heard lots of delays.

But good to hear about Swoon furniture.

Thanks for the other recommendations I'll look now.

I couldn't wait the long lead times so I took a risk (so so reviews about the company, not the sofas) and bought online from Citysofa. Lead time was longer than they said (4 weeks rather than the advertised two) but the sudas are great (Scott is the model name). I have sofa, chair and ottoman and they are really comfortable and stylish.

Snug are well reviewed. They do stock them in 6 shops in the yo. I visited the store in Walton on Thames yesterday and they had a few.

We've bought from Shawcross Furniture, very pleased with quality and value for money.

I must have been lucky with Made. It did have a a bit of a lead time but didn't get pushed back, think I ordered it in March and arrived in June.

Really lovely sofa which looks great and is very comfortable.

We got one from nabru it is good quality and great value for money I'd definitely recommend

We have a snug sofa and I definitely will not buy one again. They’re really hard and uncomfortable. Arms are an awkward height. I wish we’d waited the lead time and actually bought from a proper place.

Have you looked at the Vintage Sofa Company based in Yorkshire. I have bought several sofas and chairs from them recently. Great customer service and very well made.
