Help! How to replace fridge light

I cannot for the life of me work out how to remove the fridge light cover in order to replace the bulb. Samsung upright fridge. There are no screws. There are no obvious clips. There are two small notches, and I’ve tried prizing it off with a screwdriver, but the cover seems fixed to the fridge at the left and right front corners.

I’ve tried googling instructions, but nothing exactly relevant comes up.

Anyone have any idea? The bulb has been broken for years, because we have tried and failed to remove the cover before, but I’ve finally flipped and can’t stand it any longer!

What model is it, is there a small tab underneath the cover, if so you push that up with a screwdriver and pull the cover down.

Can’t see any tab. Not totally sure what model, have found this thingie which I think lists the possible models?

This looks to be a very similar light fitting to yours. Also a Samsung.

[/quote] Ah, thank you, yes, that’s either identical or very similar! Have tried squeezing like that video but it just seems completely stuck. Hm. I am wondering if if need DH to push one side while I push the other (much as I am trying to get a strong independent woman who can blimmimg well fix her own fridge light…).

Good luck! I was up the top of the ladder for about half an hour trying to get the smoke alarm cover off, I understand your frustration.

Hi, this is exactly me! Wondered if you had an update please, it's driving me mad!

@NavigatingSolo - we took drastic measures and moved house in November 2022 to a house where the fridge light works! We never did work out how to get the cover off the old fridge light and no idea if the new owners have managed it! 😁
