We are getting a new bathroom in a couple of weeks and have purchased the suite but still haven't chosen any tiles. I'd like something that won't date too quickly but at the moment everything seems to be patterns, metro/subway tiles and string colours. I don't really want metro tiles but I'm struggling to find anything I like. Are marble style tiles naff? I'd like large format for ease of cleaning, but the trend seems to be for small tiles.
Is it wrong/does it look odd to have smaller tiles on the floor than on the walls?? There are some hexagonal tiles I like for the floor but I'd want large format porcelain on the wall, not metro tiles.
