What colour should I paint hallway?

Hi I fairly recently moved into a Victorian terrace. The hallway is quite long and thin with terracotta floor tiles. I've had grey carpet fitted on the stairs and landing. I'm currently considering a cream shade for the hall, stairs and landing but is that really boring?? WWYD?

How about a warm grey. I like the bottom row second from the left.

we have farrow and ball's school house white in the hallway, and I love it. It's an off white that looks quite 'period' and goes well with period features

F&B mizzle would look great with grey and with terracotta.

We’ve got plain hall walls as we have colours in other rooms and I didn’t want it to clash. I’ve put in colours with pictures on the walls instead.
