Talk to your kitchen fitter where they expect the pipework to be.

I used a builder who managed all the other trades so my gas pipe is along the bottom.

As the units go all the way back pipes will have to be chased into the wall or moved to below the unit, hidden by the plinth. As kitchens are taken out pipes are easily accessible to move as needed. All mine run at skirting board height including a plumbed in fridge freezer.

In Ikea kitchens the sink unit allows space for pipework coming up the back and only has a half back panel. Well mine does which is the Ikea Faktum kitchen the new style is Metod.

Low down would be much better, as close to floor as possible or chased in

We are trying to fit it ourselves and get people in for what we can't

I’m half way through fitting one myself and same as you just getting someone in for the plumbing really.

Is yours like for like or have you totally redesigned the space?

We have redesigned the kitchen and are having integrated appliances but struggling now as to where the pipes and waste fit never had integrated before so not a clue what the back of appliances are like and don't get new ones till 28 th can't find any information as to wether the washer/dryer is vented or not hope your kitchen is going better than mine
