How long would this take to tile?

Tiles are 800x800 for kitchen and dining area.

toilet tiles are 450x450.

The quotes I am getting have shocked me and the amount of time is surprising.

What do you think?

are the walls completely flat & ready for tiling? or is there a lot of prep work to remove old tiles & move pipes or electrics and make the walls good?

I'd say about 6 days work

5/6 days so 1000-1500 labour only I'd imagine

We paid about £800 for tiles we'd bought to be fitted in just the downstairs shower room and utility, so I'm not surprised at your quote. The big areas are more straightforward as there are fewer edges and fewer tiles to cut, but even so that's a large area to tile.

Does the quote include sundries like trim strips, adhesive and grout or is it labour only?

When we had our kitchen fitted a couple of years ago we were quoted £60 per square metre for tiling (that's with us supplying the tiles)

I did it myself, but maybe you can't/don't want to do that.

We've just had a similar size done recently
Was a new floor so level and prepped ready to tile.
We supplied the porcelain tiles and the tiler supplied adhesive and grout. I had planned the layout to minimise cutting.
We paid £1670 for the labour, adhesive and grout. It took about a week and looks gorgeous.
