I am new in the area. Looking for places that’s safe for family while accessible through buses and supermarkets etc. Is Greenbank Rise is good neighborhood for that?

I am very local and have family living in Greenbank. A lovely and very desirable area for families. Good school catchment for primary and high. On a bus route. Lovely park. Absolute winner. You've got an Aldi at Oxgangs, Tesco at Colinton, Morrisons at Hunter's Tryst. You'll have a wee walk for a pint of milk is the only thing, as there is no shop in Greenbank itself so it's down to Margiotta, Comiston Road or the wee shop whose name I do not know at Oxgangs. My parents swear by the rolls from the wee shop in Oxgangs, by the neighbourhood centre, with the "lochan". Honestly, you can't go wrong.

Thanks for your lovely and detailed advice and guidance. I was originally thinking it’s in the middle of nowhere but after your explanation it seems quite ok.
