Moving to Briston Norfolk

We're hoping to buy a house in Briston, does anyone know the village? The house is perfect for us, but it's a big move -Worthing in Sussex to N Norfolk. We've only been to Briston once to see the house and looks like it had everything we need. Going to have to get used to oil fired central heating! Any thoughts on Briston or local area? Thanks

Doctor, pub, butchers and grocers. Looks perfect!

Just a quick streetview mind you, never visited.

Moved last year to a similar village and it's amazing.

It’s one of the cheaper north Norfolk villages and I wouldn’t choose it. It’s a bit down at heel and not highly regarded.

I would also look at the planning map. As a village with key amenities I would be concerned that any field you see will soon not be a field 🙁

On paper it looks great and driving through it looked like most other villages but can't tell until you live there! Our kids are 9 and 13. Looks like school and bus connections are good but also important to be able to make friends in the village. Why isn't it highly regarded? Is it rough?

We've had that problem everywhere we looked. There's so much going on - but then guess people need houses! A small field behind the house is being developed, but it's limited and will be obscured and at least we know what it will be!

Did you make the move to Briston? If so, did you regret it or do you love it?
