Has anyone bought from them? I've not heard much about them.

I am working with them at the moment on behalf of the local council taking over things like play areas on new developments, they are a huge company. Part of Vistry Group, don’t seem to better or worse than any other big home builder to be honest.

@elbea thank you. They seem great so far to us!

If it’s any help my parents live in a Bovis home that is now well over 40 years old and still standing. It was bought new and apart from a bedroom that measured smaller than the plans there has never been any issues with the quality of the build or the materials used.
Things might be different now though.

The only place I've heard of Bovis homes was on one of these Rip Off Britain/Homes From Hell type programmes. I think they were once alright, but standards have dropped since. I probably wouldn't touch one.

I live in a Bovis home. Over 200 snags when we moved in. As with most large builders they get trades in and just don't supervise or quality check their work. Had to constantly nag to get things sorted, they want you to get fed up and go away.
House round the corner had serious mould issues. Another had to have their staircase replaced. Ourselves and next door neighbours had to have our upstairs floors redone as so noisy.
However I have heard horror stories about other large builders as well.
