Composite door jamming in the sun

We’ve had the door for a year and every sunny day (it faces south) we struggle or simply can’t open it. The company who installed it have been out about 5 times but it’s still happening and they don’t seem to know why. The key just won’t turn in the lock. If we open it regularly we’re ok but if it’s left while it jams. Anyone else have this and find a solution?

Happens to our bifold door. We are able to open it but can't close it if it's been sunny. I think the material expands a bit in those temperatures (just guessing). We can't do much except wait for the temp to fall and the door to cool down and then it closes and locks just fine.

I’ve always assumed it’s the lock but I wonder if the door becomes too big for the doorframe then? Feels like there should be gap enough to accommodate this.

I lived in a student house twenty years ago which had this problem. The door was dark blue I think. The dark colours are worse for this - brighter ones reflect more sunlight and don't heat up so much.

We just got used to using the back door on sunny days! I'm surprised the issue hasn't been solved by now though.
