Pocket door

Can anyone recommend a pocket door kit. I've seen one on Screwfix but no idea if quality is any good.
Does anyone have any experience of the Screwfix one, or can recommend any alternatives?

We have an Eclisse one - used for door between utility and kitchen. Gets opened & closed a gazillion times a day, we have a heavy solid oak 30s labelled door on it, been in place about 5 yrs now without a single problem.

panelled door!!

Primotomb · 07/03/2022 20:35

That's good to hear @Africa2go. I need it in the same place.

We have an Eclisse one too. Works really well.

CasperGutman · 07/03/2022 22:11

Our architect specified - and our builders used - a kit from Eclisse too. Seems to work well so far, but it's only been in six months.

@Africa2go

panelled door!!
What do you mean Africa2go?
Alexalee · 08/03/2022 07:22

We have an eclisse too. Mechanism works very well. The pocket side of the door seems really flimsy though

Cherubimbum · 08/03/2022 08:07

We have two, one a syntesis (without architrave) and one standard one. Both Eclisse and both used lots every day. We have soft close mechanisms on them which is great as they never slam if you accidentally push them too hard.

panelled door!!

What do you mean Africa2go?*

I just mean we have the Eclisse mechanism (track) with a solid oak 30s panelled door to match the other internal doors - so think the Eclisse system must be quite good to take the weight of that kind of door. Like this (thats not our house!!)

Here’s our Eclisse (also with soft close mechanisms in it). Not flimsy at all!

We have an Eclisse one too. Used a door to match the rest of the doors. Works great. It's been in place for about 6 years now. It's our En suite door.

@CanIPleaseHaveOne, I think that ‘Panelled door!’ post was just @Africa2go correcting a typo on their original post which said ‘labelled’ rather than ‘panelled’. “30’s labelled door” doesn’t make sense, whereas “30’s panelled door” does Smile

BalladOfBarryAndFreda · 08/03/2022 19:54

I was going to come on and say Eclisse too, but there’s no point Grin

I have Klug Ultra pocket doors with and without a soft close mechanism. It may just be the handles we have but sometimes I feel the ones with a soft close are difficult to open - and the ones without open very quickly and bang into the pocket. I’m not sure if the Eclisse ones or any others do that (but the Klug set was considerably cheaper).
