Help me love my house again

Have had a horrible 2 weeks, buyer pulled out, can’t find another and have lost the upwards purchase which was literally all we’d ever dreamed of. Just had the call that it’s going back on the market.

My current house is lovely, big enough (albeit half the size), and was also a dream come true only a few years ago.

I think we will come off the market for a while but I’m so sad that my house now feels inadequate.

How can I love it again?

In reality the years the children play in the garden are few. Won't be long until they just want to lounge about and have barbecues.

For few years we gave our garden over to football nets, swings and slides. In hindsight it wasn't long at all. Many more years as a 'garden' than a playground

Thank you everyone, some good ideas! I think ultimately we want to move and will persist The house is recently decorated, apart from our room, so I might do that. The small garden has meant that I’m really imaginative with outdoor play ideas-I’m already thinking to move the play kitchen outside, get a gazebo so they don’t fry and making them a ‘house’ for this summer. Husband does have a room to work in, just has to have an 8.30am changeover when my family stay 😂.

I feel so ungrateful feeling this way, it’s very confusing 🤦‍♀️

Those little offices are lovely tho, maybe in the future I’ll get one as a hide out for me 😄
