Relocating to Towcester

Hi all,
We thinking of moving from Bucks to Northamptonshire and quite like Towcester when we visited, please can anyone give me some guidance on the town/ nice areas to live for families/ schools? We have 2 kids, one will be going into year 2 in Sept, the other will be in nursery. Any info would be appreciated.... thanks

My partner lived in Towcester until recently on the new estate opposite the race course. It's a lovely area lots of nice little pubs and restaurants, parking can be an issue though when popping to the shops and the traffic through the town at times can be a pain but I'm not sure if new traffic measures are being introduced to help the flow? Good connections to Milton Keynes and Northampton and lots of green spaces nearby for walking etc. I can't comment on schools or children's activities though sorry!

Hi, out of interest, did you make the move to Towcester? We moved to Towcester a year ago and think it’s a lovely place.

No unfortunately our move fell through so we've decided to stay put for a few more years. Still hopeful about moving to Towcester in the future though as it seems to have everything we're looking for😁

Sorry to revive thread, but I was wondering if you could share what the traffic is like there getting to and from nearest train station and to Milton Keynes in general? I've been told the traffic is really bad?
And are there areas to avoid?
