Vendors not completed their property forms

Our offer was accepted end of Jan and we were advised the vendors wanted to move quickly so were asked to start the conveyancing process immediately. We also want to move quickly so we thought that works well. However, the vendors still havent completed their forms, so the draft contracts havent been issued yet. They have instructed a solicitor but thats it. Would you give them a deadline to get the draft contracts to us or we pull out? We really want this house though.
They have confirmed they have secured an onward purchase and their vendor is at the end of the chain. We have nothing to sell, so just 3 of us in a completed chain. The EA just keeps saying they keep chasing them to complete the forms but they havent done them yet. I dont know what to do as it seems like they are not serious about the move now, although they keep saying they are grrrrr

Your solicitor should be the one chasing but yes, I would give them a deadline.

Don't use phrases like "quickly" as that could mean 6 weeks to you but 12 weeks to them. When did they secure the onward purchase as they couldn't really have done anything before then.

@JackieCollinshasnoauthority its been almost 2 weeks since they secured their onward purchase. I dont know if I'm being unreasonable to expect the draft contracts already, but for previous properties we have sold, we have had draft contracts issued within a week of the memorandum of sale

Yes, get your solicitor to chase and advise you are seeking completion in X weeks and if they want different to suggest an alternative timescale. At least then you know where you stand.
