Posting as am seriously confused about my rights.
My landlord currently has a fixed weekly rent and a service charges on top of that. The service charges includes charges for things like bin hire, cleaner, caretaker etc.
We pay about 1£ a week for a cleaner that is supposed to clean the block once a week, he has shown up about 4 times in the last year.
We pay about 2£ a week for a caretaker who has NEVER shown up, I have literally no idea who this is, never seen anyone.
There is literally no use for the 3£ a week that a pay. Some of you will say its just 3£ but that really amounts to 144£ a year. A lot for a single mum on low income.
Q: they have ignored my emails and complaints, can I just stop paying the service charge fees for services am not getting (caretaker+cleaner)
Q: Will they take me to court? surely the court will understand my point of view if I provide proof(camera footage that the ring wasnt triggered at all by any cleaner)
