Replacing a kitchen mixer tap

Hiya,

Our kitchen mixer tap broke and we bought a new one and the plumber has just bailed on us. Is it easy to install it ourselves?

I think the pipe on left is easy but unsure about the right one (cold). Do we need to cut it? Added pictures. Any one can help please. Thank you

No help but in a similar situation so watching for advice!
I feel it should be an easy thing to replace !!!

You have to turn off the water at the stop cock and drain out all the water.

Thanks both. The thing which I’m worried about is the pipes seem to be soldered to the tap tails. I’m not sure if I have to cut it through for removal of the tap and also how to connect back the new flexible part of the new tap.

It looks like you will have to cut the soldered pipe off below the solder and remove the plastic push-fit connector. You will need to buy 2pcs flat-end isolation valves to connect to the pipe and flexi hose

Are there isolation valves below the section of piping you've uploaded?

Are you sure you can’t get another plumber?
