We have this situation at the moment and our lender has put 100% retention on our purchase until work on the roof is done. The vendors are currently doing this work and will have finished this soon.
Does anyone know how long it usually takes to get the funds released once owners give evidence of the work completed? I understand they may send a surveyor to inspect but no idea how long this could take or if documentation will be enough.
Would be keen to hear others experiences of this.
