My heating timer is messing with me!

I think I have a gremlin in my combi boilers thermostatic control box ...

Our heating timer comes on twice a day, in the am at 6.00am for a few hours then in the late afternoon until an hour or so before bed. Never had a problem. It's also set so that if between these times it sense the temperature drop below 12 degrees it kicks in until it gets to just above that.

Last week being half term here I decided to set the am one to 6.30. Ye5 it still came on at 6. On the dot. The afternoon setting is coming in when expected but this morning one is just bizarre.

I've checked the programmes and all is as it should be, the clock is correct and it's not suddenly turned extremely cold just at 6am.

Any suggestions?

Are there perhaps settings for weekdays and weekends? Set for the same times in your case, but that you’ve changed the start time on one and not the other? Only thing I can think of!

I wondered this too as you can do settings for each day or Monday-Friday then weekends too. All times are the same.
