Grout sealer

Hey there

Does anyone have any experience using grout sealer?
We're just renovating the bathroom and are wondering if there's much use in using it on the tiles for protection/ keep it cleaner etc

Thanks in advance!

Grout for bathrooms should be waterproof anyway. You could use epoxy grout if you are worried about staining. A specialist product used in hotels and swimming pools.

In general, choose a darker colour grout to avoid it looking grubby. Especially on the floor.

My advice would be never use white grout always use grey as it never looks dirty and white does. We always use waterproof grout in kitchen/bathroom and use a sealant on top as well

my tiler friend sometimes paints Thomsons water seal over grout for extra protection...doesnt affect colour.
