Does anyone have a metal garden fence?

Eunice has just obliterated my wooden garden fence and I am considering a metal replacement as apparently they can withstand strong winds. I’m worried it will look like a prison or a municipal building. Does anyone else have any experience to share, positive or negative ? Many thanks

Mine is composite and I loooovveeee it - sorry that was a little emphatic for a fence. Didn't so much as wobble today, and I really felt like the house might crumble at one point.

Very common in Australia. Maybe look at some online estate agents properties there to get ideas

We have one after very (very) frequent repairs of a wooden fence over many years. We live in a very exposed place and the fence would fall maybe 5-10 times a year.

We had this fence installed early last year. Looks great (it’s cream) and we haven’t looked back. It’s brilliant. I’ll post a photo in the morning.

Thankyou all. @onlyfortonight a photo would be great. Especially to get ideas for what cream looks like . The one I’m looking at comes in green brown cream and blue. Can’t choose

Please share suppliers or links to the metal fence. I'm also keen on the idea.

My parents do. They look great and come in a wide range of colours. They're not cheap but there's no maintenance at all, over 8 years old now and still look brand new. We generally sit in their conservatory which looks out on to their garden, you wouldn't know that they're metal, they're just a lovely dark green, which is a beautiful backdrop to all of the plants.

NDN have recently had one put in between our houses and it looks really nice, it's brown and doesn't look metal at all
